Iran executed 28 people and arrested 99 citizens over the past week.

Axar.az reports, citing Iran Human Rights, that 58 citizens were arrested in Mahabad, Shino, Piranshahr, Naqadeh and Dareh Shahr, while another 30 people were detained in Fars province over their alleged participation in recent protests.

At least 11 members of Iran's Baha'i community were also arrested and transferred to prison.

The report said executions were carried out in prisons in Qezel Hesar, Zahedan, Shiraz, Rasht, Khorramabad, Tabriz, Isfahan and Yazd. It also said death sentences had been issued against two young protesters in Karaj.

Meanwhile, social and academic pressure continued, with several students expelled or suspended and more than 40 protests held by retirees and workers across different cities.
