Denmark's Parliament has approved a government proposal to suspend the issuance of residence permits to Ukrainian men of mobilization age.
Axar.az reports, citing TASS, that the proposal was approved by 98 votes to 11.
Under the new rules, Ukrainian men aged 23 to 60 will no longer qualify for residence permits under Denmark's special law for displaced Ukrainians unless they provide documents proving they are exempt from military service.
Some 47,600 Ukrainians have received permits under the law, including about 9,300 men aged 23 to 60 who were still living in Denmark as of May 1, 2026.
The amendments apply only to applications submitted from June 25, 2026.
