Drone destroyed after being spotted at Turkish port

A drone spotted by fishermen near Alaplı Port in Zonguldak, Turkiye, caused a brief security alert on Sunday.

Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that Coast Guard teams were dispatched to the area, and entry to and exit from the port were temporarily suspended as a precaution.

The drone was later carried by waves toward the open waters of nearby Karadeniz Eregli, where Coast Guard personnel destroyed it in a controlled operation.

Authorities conducted a search of the area before lifting the port restrictions.
