Unknown perpetrators carried out acts of sabotage at a power substation near the Janschwalde coal-fired power plant in southern Brandenburg, Germany.

Axar.az reports, citing German media, that Brandenburg Interior Minister Jan Redmann said two attempts succeeded, while a double-digit number of other devices were found at the site.

He said the incidents caused no disruption to the power supply and no injuries were reported.

According to Redmann, the perpetrators apparently used devices to introduce conductive material into a high-voltage line, causing short circuits. Authorities have not confirmed that any explosive device detonated.

The perpetrators remain unknown, and police are investigating the incident as a suspected attack on critical infrastructure.
