The State Committee for Standardization of Belarus has flagged a batch of Armenian brandy, Yerevan 2800, saying the product does not comply with several technical regulations on food safety and labeling.

Axar.az reports, citing the State Committee for Standardization of Belarus, that the eight-year-aged brandy, produced by CJSC MAP in Armenia’s Armavir region, was found to contain a concentration of tannins below the level declared for the product.

Testing showed that the mass concentration of tannins was 0.14 g/dm³, compared with the required minimum of 0.3 g/dm³.

The State Committee said the product’s labeling provides inaccurate information about its name and does not allow the food product to be properly identified according to its declared designation.
