Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has sarcastically responded to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s remarks about the future of Russia’s 102nd military base in Armenia.

Axar.az reports, citing Zakharova's Telegram channel, that she quoted Pashinyan saying, "Yerevan does not consider the presence of the Russian base a vital necessity and would not object if Moscow decided to withdraw it."

Pashinyan stated that Armenia would be ready to discuss its continued presence if Russia wanted to stay.

In response, Zakharova quoted a line from Mikhail Bulgakov’s Heart of a Dog: “Are you a man or a woman?”
