Witkoff, Kushner to visit Kyiv following Moscow trip

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said U.S. President’s representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will visit Moscow and Kyiv in the coming days as part of efforts to advance negotiations.

Axar.az reports that Zelensky stated on his Telegram channel that Witkoff and Kushner would visit Moscow and then Kyiv on Sunday, adding that Ukraine would ensure the normal functioning of Russian airspace to allow the U.S. representatives to travel safely.

“Just as during previous diplomatic visits by the American side, we will ensure the normal functioning of Russian airspace so that the negotiators can arrive safely,” Zelensky said, adding that Ukraine would not carry out airstrikes during the period needed for the talks and logistical arrangements.

Zelensky said he expected the visit and talks with the U.S. side to be constructive and substantive, adding that the goal was to find real ways to move the war toward an end.

"Our goal is to make the visit and negotiations with the American side as constructive and substantive as possible. We need to look for real options to move this war toward an end. We will see what proposals Steve and Jared have and what Moscow will say in response," he stated.
