Saudi Aramco’s oil facilities in the Saudi Arabian city of Jizan have been hit in a new attack, just a month after a separate strike temporarily disrupted production at the refinery.

Axar.az reports, citing the Financial Times, that the company’s oil infrastructure was attacked on Monday, with the damage being assessed.

Jizan, which is close to the Yemeni border, is home to a 400,000-barrel-per-day refinery along with associated plants and energy infrastructure.

The Iran-backed Houthi rebels have not claimed responsibility for the latest attack. However, the group has resumed attacks targeting Saudi oil infrastructure since July and has launched several drone and missile strikes in recent weeks.

Oil prices rose following the attack, with Brent crude increasing 1.2% to $97.40 a barrel on Monday.

Saudi Aramco has not immediately commented on the latest attack.
