Iran's capital city, Tehran, is preparing metro stations designated as shelters for possible emergency use, city council chief Mehdi Chamran said on Tuesday.
Axar.az reports, citing IRNA, that Chamran said signs directing residents to designated shelters would be installed near some metro stations and other locations across the city.
He said authorities were currently preparing the designated stations and determining the facilities and equipment needed inside or near them.
It should be noted that the Tehran Metro has seven lines and 163 stations.
