Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump discussed the possibility of holding a trilateral Russia-US-China summit on the sidelines of the APEC summit, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that when asked whether the issue was discussed during the phone call between Putin and Trump, Peskov stated that the possibility exists.

“Of course, this potential possibility had been mentioned before as well, and such an opportunity will exist,” Peskov said.

The APEC summit is scheduled to take place in Shenzhen, China, on Nov. 18-19.
