Red Sea, Bab el-Mandeb trade routes remain safe

Houthi spokesman Mohammed Abdul Salam said international navigation and commercial traffic in the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb Strait remain safe and stable.

Axar.az reports, in a statement shared on his X account, Abdul Salam added that Yemen had not attacked any country but had itself been subjected to attacks.

“As for freedom of navigation and the movement of international trade in the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb, they are safe and orderly, and there is no need for any international concern regarding them. There is no danger to them from the Yemeni side. The operations currently underway are limited to specific targets, as previously announced, and are being carried out within a defensive framework,” he stated.
