Peskov: UAE considered as venue for next Ukraine talks

The United Arab Emirates could be considered as a venue for the next round of trilateral negotiations on Ukraine.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that “When we get to the substantive preparation of the next round of negotiations, I am sure that the Emirates, and Abu Dhabi in particular, will be on the agenda as a possible venue."

Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said on September 9 that Moscow considers Abu Dhabi a priority venue for Ukraine talks. He also said Russia had recently discussed with Washington the possibility of resuming negotiations in a trilateral format involving Kyiv.

The previous trilateral talks between Russia, the US and Ukraine were held in the UAE, with the first two rounds taking place in January and February. A third round was later held in Switzerland.
