Budanov: Ukraine will fight as long as necessary

Ukraine will continue [to fight]. It has no other option because we are fighting for what is ours, for our people, for our territory, and for our future, Head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov said in an interview with Latvian Television LSM.

Axar.az reports, Budanov added that Ukraine was ready for a ceasefire at any time, but said the decision depended on Russia.

"Look, we did not start this war. Ukraine suffered open, unprovoked aggression from the Russian Federation back in 2014, which continued with a new escalation in 2022. And the answer to your question, unfortunately, is: as long as necessary," Budanov said.

"It is the Russian Federation that can decide whether to withdraw or not," he added.
