Uzbekistan considers bodyguard services for tourists

Uzbekistan is considering offering bodyguard services to foreign tourists, business travellers and official delegations, as authorities review security measures along popular travel routes.

Axar.az reports, citing Uzbek media, that the proposed service would include pre-trip risk assessments, arranging protection along travel routes and responding to emergencies. Authorities also discussed expanding CCTV coverage and rapid-response teams at tourist attractions, heritage sites, hotels and recreation areas.

No launch date, pricing or booking arrangements have been announced.
