US prepares for nighttime operations amid tensions

The USS George Washington is preparing for nighttime operations in the Arabian Sea amid escalating tensions with Iran.

Axar.az reports, citing Fox News, that the aircraft carrier, carrying about 5,000 sailors and escorted by destroyers, was targeted by an Iranian ballistic missile last weekend.

US forces are maintaining a naval blockade and continuing operations near the Strait of Hormuz, according to US officials.
