Unknown drone enters Romanian airspace again

An unidentified drone has entered Romanian airspace again.

Axar.az reports, citing local media, that according to Romania’s Ministry of National Defence, the drone crossed Ukrainian and Moldovan airspace before heading toward northeastern Romania, where it later crashed.

Two Romanian F-16 fighter jets took off from the Borcea Air Base to monitor the situation, while authorities issued an air raid alert. Emergency services also received reports of a drone being spotted over Botoșani County.

The military later found the remains of the aircraft in a cornfield.

No injuries were reported.
