Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will travel to New York on September 23 to attend the United Nations General Assembly.

Axar.az reports, citing the Times of Israel, that Netanyahu will return to Israel on September 25 and is scheduled to address the UN General Assembly on September 24.

It remains unclear whether Netanyahu will meet US President Donald Trump during the visit. The two leaders last met in July.

Israeli diplomats expect major protests against Netanyahu in New York. Mayor Zohran Mamdani had previously pledged to arrest Netanyahu if he entered the city, but acknowledged in July that he lacked the legal authority to do so.
