Iran strikes US-contracted vessel near Strait of Hormuz

Iran has struck a U.S.-contracted vessel carrying American personnel near the Strait of Hormuz.

Axar.az reports, citing Fox News, that the attack involved four Iranian drones and at least one missile. One projectile hit the vessel, causing minor injuries, including smoke inhalation.

The incident comes amid heightened tensions around the Strait of Hormuz, where shipping has faced significant disruption.

Fox News also reported that U.S. forces have carried out repeated strikes against Iranian maritime targets in recent weeks.

U.S. Vice President JD Vance said Iran’s continued attacks on ships are affecting global energy markets and argued that the fighting would continue as long as Tehran keeps targeting vessels.
