Russian President Vladimir Putin has cast his vote online in elections for deputies to the 9th State Duma.

Axar.az reports, citing TASS, that footage released by the Kremlin’s press service shows Putin sitting at a computer in his office and voting electronically.

In recent years, Putin has increasingly opted to vote remotely. In 2024, he voted online in both the presidential elections and the Moscow City Duma elections.

The elections for the 9th State Duma are being held from September 18 to 20. Ten political parties are participating in the elections.

Voting is also taking place for legislative assemblies in 39 regions and for the heads of several Russian regions. About 22,000 seats are expected to be contested in total.
