Trump: US talking with Houthis, they would like to deal

US President Donald Trump said Washington is holding talks with Yemen’s Houthi movement and claimed the group is interested in reaching an agreement with the United States.

Axar.az reports that Trump said in a Friday interview with NewsNation that Iran currently wants to reach an agreement with Washington. Asked about his recent remarks that he was considering whether to “annihilate” Iran, Trump replied, “We’ll see what happens.”

“We're talking to the Houthis also and they would like to see if we can make a deal,” Trump said.

“Right now, they want to make a deal,” Trump said, adding that Iran was “losing in every way” financially and militarily. He said he would not consider an agreement unless it was acceptable to the United States.

Trump also claimed that US airstrikes carried out by B-2 bombers had prevented Iran from advancing toward the development of a nuclear weapon.
