Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed the Palestine issue in his speech to the UN General Assembly.

Axar.az reports that Erdogan said Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, as last year, was not personally attending the General Assembly this year either, adding that they would continue to make the voice of the Palestinian people heard around the world from the UN podium.

“We will be the voice of the free and sovereign State of Palestine and continue to make the struggle of the Palestinian people heard around the world from this podium,” Erdogan said.

The Turkish president also called on countries that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to reconsider their position.
