There is no tension in relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said.

Axar.az reports, citing АPA, that Kobakhidze made the remarks while commenting to journalists on a statement by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the Kurmukhi Church.

He stressed that there was no tension in Georgia’s relations with the Azerbaijani government.

“We are united with Azerbaijan by friendly relations. Thanks to this friendship, we can discuss any issue very easily. All issues between the governments of Georgia and Azerbaijan are discussed in an atmosphere of friendship,” Kobakhidze said.
