Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will visit the United Arab Emirates on Monday for talks on bilateral relations and regional developments.

Axar.az reports, citing Anadolu Agency, that Fidan is expected to discuss preparations for the second meeting of the Turkiye-UAE High-Level Strategic Council.

Fidan will also discuss regional developments, including the security of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb, the situation in Yemen, and the Gaza ceasefire and reconstruction process.

According to Turkish Foreign Ministry sources, Fidan is expected to stress the need for regional countries to take greater ownership of resolving conflicts and for the international community to maintain unified efforts to preserve ceasefires in Gaza and Lebanon.

He is also expected to hold consultations on the work of the Board of Peace, of which Turkiye and the UAE are founding members.

Turkiye and the UAE have maintained a strategic partnership since 2023. Bilateral trade reached $19.346 billion in 2025, while the UAE was Turkiye’s largest Gulf trading partner and the Gulf country with the largest investments in Turkiye.
