Aleksandar Vucic resigns as president of Serbia

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has resigned from his position.

Axar.az reports, citing Serbian media, that Vucic announced his resignation during a public address on Sunday.

Under Serbia’s Constitution, National Assembly Speaker Ana Brnabic will assume the duties of president following Vucic resignation.

Presidential elections must be held within three months of the resignation, according to the Constitution.
