Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a phone call with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed on Wednesday to discuss securing air traffic between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.

Axar.az reports, citing Arabic media, that the call followed an incident involving a flydubai flight traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv that made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia after the pilot and co-pilot were reportedly injured.

A replacement flydubai aircraft later arrived at Ben Gurion Airport from Tabuk, carrying passengers from the original flight.

Netanyahu was also expected to speak with US President Donald Trump later Wednesday, according to the report.
