Moldova summons Russian ambassador over drone incursions

Moldova has summoned Russian Ambassador Oleg Ozerov after three drones violated Moldovan airspace on September 30 amid Russian attacks on Ukraine.

Axar.az reports, citing Moldovan media, that Moldova’s Foreign Ministry condemned the airspace violation and called on Russia to stop attacks on Ukraine and actions that threaten Moldova.

Earlier, Moldova’s Defence Ministry said a Russian drone launched toward Ukraine had exploded on Moldovan territory.

The incident comes after three drones were reported to have entered Moldovan airspace, with two crashing on Moldovan territory.
