Turkiye denies reports of Syrian, Hezbollah officials meeting

Turkiye has denied reports that Syrian government officials and Hezbollah representatives met in Turkiye under the auspices of the National Intelligence Organisation (MIT).

Axar.az reports that the Turkish Presidential Communications Directorate’s Center for Combating Disinformation issued a statement on the matter.

"Claims circulating in certain international media outlets and on social media platforms alleging that “Syrian government officials and Hezbollah officials met in Turkiye, hosted by the National Intelligence Organisation (MIT)” are entirely unfounded," the statement reads.

"The claims in these posts regarding the date, venue, content, and contacts do not reflect any reality and are entirely fabricated and speculative. The public is strongly urged to rely solely on statements issued by the official authorities," it added.
