Seven people were killed in an explosion at a chemical plant in Russia’s Moscow region on Thursday.
Axar.az reports, citing The Moscow Times, that the blast occurred at the Krasnozavodsk Chemical Plant, which produces ammunition and pyrotechnics.
Preliminary reports indicated that the explosion may have been caused by a technical failure. No aerial attacks had been reported in the area.
The plant was previously targeted in a Ukrainian attack in July 2025. Ukrainian authorities have said the facility produces explosives, ammunition components, and thermobaric warheads for Shahed-type drones.
The cause of the incident has not yet been disclosed.
