Russian media mogul and Tsargrad TV founder Konstantin Malofeev has revealed that U.S. authorities seized $10 million from him.
Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that the businessman wrote on his Telegram channel that he had invested the money in the United States before sanctions were imposed on him.
According to Malofeev, U.S. authorities transferred $5.4 million of the amount to Ukraine.
“The rest of the funds, apparently, were divided among the concessionaires. The fortune of former U.S. President Joe Biden is estimated at the same $10 million — $2 million more than before his presidency. That is how he got his ‘pension supplement,’” he added.
Malofeev called the opening of a criminal case in Russia an “unprecedented fact” and accused Biden and former U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland of stealing his funds.
“A group led by the former U.S. president and Attorney General Merrick Garland stole my money, which had been legally invested in the United States — before any sanctions were imposed,” Malofeev said.
He claimed that the actions of the U.S. officials had been classified under charges related to large-scale organized theft and financing of terrorism.
Malofeev also said that the funds recovered as a result of the proceedings would be used to support Russian military personnel.
“A thief must be in prison. Even if he sat in the White House,” the businessman concluded.
