Russia-Belarus trade may exceed $70 billion in 2026

Trade between Russia and Belarus could exceed $70 billion in 2026, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that the volume of trade in goods and services between the two countries could surpass $70 billion, depending on the exchange rate, according to Overchuk.

“At the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Union State, we could not fail to discuss strengthening trade ties. In principle, according to our estimates, trade in goods and services between Russia and Belarus will exceed $70 billion if the exchange rate is favorable. This is a very large figure for bilateral trade. For comparison, I can say that our trade with China is around $240 billion, while with Belarus it will be around $70 billion this year. This also demonstrates the depth of our integration ties,” he said.
