Moldova summons Russian envoy after airspace incursion

Moldova’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned Russia’s designated ambassador to Chisinau and handed him a note of protest following an unauthorized incursion into Moldovan airspace by five drones and missiles.

Axar.az reports that, according to the ministry’s post on X, drones and missiles exploded near several localities in four districts, endangering civilians and causing fires and material damage.

The Moldovan Foreign Ministry called on Russia to respect Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and to prevent similar incidents from occurring again.
