Ukraine says it struck two Russian fighter jets in Adygea

Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) said it struck two Russian fighter jets and an ammunition depot at a military airfield in Russia’s Adygea region.

Axar.az reports that the SBU said on its Telegram channel that drones operated by its Alfa Special Operations Center attacked Khanskaya military airfield overnight, about 500 kilometers from the target.

According to the agency, a Su-35 multirole fighter and a Su-34 fighter-bomber were hit, along with an ammunition storage facility at the airfield.

The SBU said both aircraft are capable of carrying guided aerial bombs that Russia uses extensively against Ukrainian forces and cities.

The agency said the strikes were part of its ongoing operations against Russian military facilities and aimed at reducing Russia’s ability to wage war against Ukraine.
