IRGC orders tanker to turn back in Strait of Hormuz

A tanker transiting the Strait of Hormuz was ordered by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to turn back or face being targeted.

Axar.az reports that the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said on X that it had received a report of the incident about 11 nautical miles north of Khasab, Oman.

The Master of the tanker has confirmed that they have complied with the instruction.

Authorities are investigating the incident. UKMTO advised vessels to transit the area with caution and report any suspicious activity.
