Sobyanin: Nearly 10,000 drones flew toward Moscow

Nearly 10,000 Ukrainian drones flew toward the Moscow region between September 1 and October 5, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that Sobyanin said air defenses neutralized most of the drones at long-range approaches.

“From 08:30 on September 1 to 08:30 on October 5, 9,994 UAVs flew toward the Moscow region. Most were neutralized by air defenses at long-range approaches, while 862 drones were destroyed on approach to Moscow,” Sobyanin said.

Sobyanin had previously said that 2,022 drones were detected between September 12 and 19, with 186 destroyed while approaching the capital.
