Azerbaijan, Armenia to decide venue for next 3+3 meeting

Azerbaijan and Armenia will determine the venue for the next meeting of foreign ministers from the 3+3 Regional Cooperation Platform, Russian Foreign Ministry official Mikhail Kalugin said.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that the first meeting on energy cooperation within the “3+3” regional cooperation platform is planned to be held in Moscow in October as part of Russian Energy Week.

“Baku and Yerevan should now determine where the next meeting of the foreign ministers of the 3+3 participating countries will be held. We are ready to provide our partners with the necessary assistance,” Kalugin said.

The 3+3 platform brings together Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Russia, Iran and Turkiye. Georgia has been invited to join but has not yet participated in the platform’s work.

The first foreign ministers’ meeting was held in Tehran in October 2023, while the latest meeting took place in Istanbul in October 2024.
