Ukraine is working with its partners on five ceasefire options and is waiting for Russia to agree to them, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi said.
Axar.az reports, citing RBC-Ukraine, that Tykhyi said the proposals were developed with the participation of Ukrainian diplomacy and were considered realistic and mutually beneficial.
He said the formats are the same as those previously outlined by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha:
1. Full and unconditional ceasefire. A general ceasefire that Ukraine agreed to back in March 2025. This agreement remains in force and awaits a reciprocal decision from Russia.
2. Black Sea format. Proposals on the safety of navigation in the Black Sea, which are being developed jointly with Turkiye and Egypt.
3. Food security in the Black Sea. Solutions for preserving and protecting food exports with India's active involvement.
4. Energy track through India. A ceasefire and an end to strikes specifically on energy infrastructure, which the Indian side is actively working on.
5. US track for an energy ceasefire. Work on a ceasefire in the energy sector involving the US, which was discussed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump
“It takes two to tango, so the Russian side needs to agree to these modalities. In our view, the proposals are mutually beneficial and realistic,” Tykhyi said.
Ukraine has urged the public to carefully assess statements about the peace process. Tykhyi accused Moscow of trying to shift responsibility for the continuation of the war to Kyiv, calling such claims manipulation.
India is also playing an active role in efforts to establish ceasefires in the Black Sea and energy sectors, with New Delhi seeking to protect its trade and food security interests.
