Montenegro detains Rybar Telegram channel head

Montenegrin law enforcement authorities have detained Mikhail Zvinchuk, the founder of the Russian Telegram channel Rybar, which is known for its close ties to the Kremlin.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that Zvinchuk, his wife and several members of the channel’s staff were detained early this morning in the town of Risan during an operation conducted by Montenegrin police and the country’s National Security Agency.

According to the reports, the operation aimed to counter hybrid activities by the channel’s network, which British and US authorities have accused of spreading Kremlin propaganda.
