Zelensky, Burnham discuss security and diplomacy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has discussed increased sanctions pressure on Russia and further support for Ukraine with UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham.

Axar.az reports that, in a post on X, Zelensky said he had briefed Burnham on Russian attacks across Ukrainian cities involving aerial bombs, Shahed drones and ballistic missiles.

Zelensky stressed that air defence remained Ukraine’s top priority and called for concrete decisions to protect lives and strengthen European security.

He also welcomed Britain’s commitment to increasing sanctions pressure on Russia over its escalation, adding that the sides had discussed steps to support diplomatic efforts and were preparing further joint actions and a meeting.
