Ukraine ready to halt refinery strikes under mutual truce

The real cause of the war in Europe is Russia, and Russia alone. It is already possible today to stop attacks on energy infrastructure, but Putin does not want to do so, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said.

Axar.az reports that Zelensky made the statement in a post on his official Telegram channel, stressing that any steps towards de-escalation must be mutual and backed by genuine guarantees.

“Ukraine will be ready to stop strikes on Russian oil refineries if Russia stops attacking our energy infrastructure. Any de-escalation steps must be mutual and backed by genuine guarantees,” Zelensky said.

It should be noted that US President Donald Trump has demanded that Ukraine stop attacking Russian oil refineries.
