Ukraine has no energy ceasefire agreement with Russia

Ukraine has not reached an agreement with Russia on an energy ceasefire between the two countries starting on October 11, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said.

Axar.az reports that Zelensky told Axios that the announcement of a ceasefire had come as news to him.

“The ceasefire announcement was news for me. But if Russians agree to an energy ceasefire Ukraine will agree. If president Trump negotiated it with Putin - please tell us when the ceasefire begins - we are ready and we will accept it,” Zelensky said.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced that an energy ceasefire had been agreed between Russia and Ukraine.
