France backs Ukraine’s call for energy ceasefire

France fully supports a genuine energy ceasefire, which Ukraine is ready to accept, French President Emmanuel Macron has said.

Axar.az reports that, in a post on his official X account, Macron accused Russia of continuing to reject the proposal while intensifying attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure in recent hours.

“France unconditionally supports the call for a genuine energy truce, which Ukraine is willing to accept. At this stage, Russia continues to reject it, further intensifying its strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure in recent hours. France will continue to stand alongside Ukraine and President Zelensky,” Macron wrote.
