Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has said that economic warfare is more important than cognitive, military and cyber warfare, describing it as the main front in the conflict against Iran.
Axar.az reports, citing Iran’s IRNA news agency, that Ghalibaf identified decision-making, management and stable governance as the main challenges in addressing economic pressure.
"Two key priorities, alongside compensating for losses, securing raw materials and addressing industrial sector needs, are improving living standards for the public and the armed forces. Government decisions should ensure that people’s livelihoods are the last to suffer from the effects of war and sanctions, and the first to benefit from sound management decisions," Ghalibaf said.
Drawing on his experience managing crises since the early days of the Islamic Revolution, Ghalibaf said crises also create significant opportunities that should not be overlooked.
"With coordination between parliament and the government, Iran could align its economic efforts and move forward. Protecting the livelihoods of the public and the armed forces should remain the foremost consideration in all decisions, including those concerning economic growth, reconstruction and industrial financing," he added.
