Putin: Ukrainian attacks caused little refinery damage

Russian President Vladimir Putin said recent Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries had caused no significant damage, while acknowledging that some targets had been hit.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that Putin made the remarks on Thursday, after Ukrainian drone attacks targeted refineries in the Saratov and Ryazan regions. A fire was reported at the Ryazan refinery following a drone attack that morning.

“Some places were hit. Nothing particularly significant, but they keep going,” Putin said.

"The same applies to e-commerce platforms. They took the first step. We began to respond. Now they are already complaining about the energy sector as well, and about other facilities, including data centers, and so on. They started it. They should not have started. Before taking this step, they should have thought carefully about the consequences," Putin said.
