Zelensky seeks €70 billion in additional aid for 2027

Ukraine will need at least €70 billion in additional support from its partners in 2027 to fund its defence and military capabilities, President Volodymyr Zelensky has said.

Axar.az reports that, in a post on his official Telegram channel, Zelensky said that Ukrainian drones were helping repel most Russian assaults on the front line, disrupt Russian supply routes and weaken Russia's economy.

"Next year, the war will cost €155 billion. And we need at least an additional €70 billion from you for defence, weapons and our resilience. This is a realistic amount. And I ask you to find this support. It will help us deter Russia," Zelensky stated.

"There are several very simple facts. We are stopping most Russian assaults on the front line thanks to drones. We are cutting off Russian supply routes using these technologies. And our drones are helping weaken the Russian economy," he added.
