Three planes flying from Turkiye to Moscow turned back while in Polish and Lithuanian airspace due to restrictions at Vnukovo Airport.

Axar.az reports, citing TASS, that the flights departed from Antalya, Istanbul and Izmir and were heading to Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport.

According to the report, the aircraft diverted to Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen Airport. A decision will be made there on whether they can resume their flights to Moscow or passengers will be transferred to other flights.

Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency earlier announced temporary restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures at Moscow’s Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports for flight safety reasons.
