Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz has warned that Hezbollah would face a severe strike if it joins an Iranian attack on Israel.

Axar.az reports that Katz made the statement in a post on X, adding that the Israeli military was prepared to launch a ground operation into additional areas of Lebanon if necessary.

He said the operation could extend towards areas around Nabatieh and the Litani River, with evacuated territories potentially becoming a permanent part of Israel’s security zone in Lebanon.

"If Hezbollah joins an Iranian attack on Israel, it will suffer a severe blow. The Israeli army is prepared to launch a ground manoeuvre towards additional areas around Nabatieh and the Litani River, evacuating the population from the territories it occupies, treating them in the same manner and making them a permanent part of Israel’s security zone in Lebanon," Katz said.
