Iran and Iraq reach deal on Kurdish opposition groups

Iran and Iraq have agreed to expel Iranian Kurdish opposition groups from Iraq’s Kurdistan Region or hand them over to Tehran, Iranian Ambassador to Baghdad Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadegh said on Tuesday.

Axar.az reports, citing Kurd Press, that Al-Sadegh said the agreement was reached during a meeting of the joint security committee attended by an Iranian delegation and Iraq’s national security adviser.

He said the decision was part of security cooperation between the two countries.
