Putin calls Western war warnings ‘political schizophrenia’

Russian President Vladimir Putin has described Western statements about preparations for a war with Russia as “political schizophrenia."

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that Putin said that European citizens did not want a war with Russia, pointing to political developments across Europe.

“Constantly talking about a threat from Russia and about preparations for a war with Russia is, in my view, some kind of political schizophrenia,” Putin said.

“The peoples of Europe do not want to fight Russia — I want us to be heard. And we do not want to fight either — we are not preparing for any kind of war with Europe,” he added.
