Bahceli stresses importance of Turkiye-Azerbaijan trust

The invitation of our President to the summit in Ankara is also important in terms of preserving the historical and strategic value of Turkiye-Azerbaijan relations.

Axar.az reports that Devlet Bahceli, leader of Turkiye’s Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), made the remarks in a post on his Facebook page.

“The ties between Turkiye and Azerbaijan go beyond daily political developments and temporary disagreements, and rise above the common history, language, culture, mutual trust, and the unity of our nation," Bahceli wrote.

"Of course, different assessments and issues awaiting a solution can emerge between states. The most important thing is to show the will to resolve these issues without compromising the law of brotherhood and to find a solution through mutual understanding and direct dialogue.

It is indispensable to preserve the trust between Turkiye and Azerbaijan, to maintain the solidarity between the two states, and to ensure the common future of the Turkish world,” the party leader said.

It should be recalled that the summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) will be held in Ankara on October 29–30. At the summit, the chairmanship of the OTS will be transferred from Azerbaijan to Turkiye. On October 21, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan personally invited President Ilham Aliyev to attend the OTS summit during a phone call.
