Claims of Russian involvement in European unrest gone ‘too far’

Russian President Vladimir Putin has described accusations that Moscow is behind unrest in European countries as “too far,” arguing that such claims reflect the weakness of European leaders.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that Putin said he was surprised by the accusations, adding that they were obvious exaggerations in the eyes of ordinary European citizens.

“Speaking about us provoking mass protests in major European cities is really going too far,” Putin said.

Putin also noted that the unrest demonstrated European leaders' weakness and unwillingness to take responsibility.

“This speaks to the weakness and inability of some leaders in European countries to take responsibility for what is happening,” Putin said.
